What is your experience with cartomancy?
I've mostly read for myself over the past year. Very good at instinctively picking cards, not so great at reading them just yet *g*

Do you own any decks? Any fannish decks?
I own 11 tarot decks, one leonormand, and several oracle decks. Two fannish ones, both very good: The Buffy Tarot and the Dungeons & Dragons Tarot.

What are your current/all time fandoms?
Buffy and The Sarah Connor Chronicles are my all-time fandoms, though if I had gotten to grow up with Xena that would definitely be on the list as well. For books, The Steerswoman series by Rosemary Kirstein is near and dear to my heart, and Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan was extremely formative. More recent favorites are the Dune movie(don't spoil meeee), the Murderbot series, Our Flag Means Death, The Wheel of Time show, Stranger Things, A League of Their Own, and Star Trek Discovery.

What would you like so see/do in this community?
Discussions, deck designs/ideas, deck reviews, anything really =) That's what communities are for!

What is your experience with cartomancy?
Not much, but I'm always interested. :D A DW friend did a spread for me recently, and I was like, "Dude, wow, bull's eye," haha. I also did a Tarot-based writing game some weeks ago (you can read it here in case you're interested), which was an absolute delight!


Do you own any decks? Any fannish decks?
I do own a Marseille deck and the Thoth deck (I adore the designs of the latter one), and since I'm from rural Franconia I own a few Tarock decks. :D


What are your current/all time fandoms?
You're very welcome to take a look at my DW profile page, but golden oldies are: Saiyuki, Krabat, The Eagle (of the Ninth), Weiß Kreuz, Bible slash, and Renaissance RPF. Current front-runners are: Barbarians (second season), Our Flag means Death, KinnPorsche, Slow Horses. I also enjoy fanworks for The Witcher! I'm really easy to enthuse, haha.


What would you like so see/do in this community?
Nice people with nice ideas! Maybe some spreads/patterns to kick off inspiration? I'm open for anything, really.

What is your experience with cartomancy?
Less than I'd like. Mostly tend to use it for fannish inspiration. Occasionally go through phases of pulling spreads for myself.

Way more than my experience would imply!
I have about a dozen tarot decks plus a couple of oracles, my favourites being Shadowscapes, Wild Unknown, and Oriens.

What are your current/all time fandoms?
All-time fandoms: Legend of the Seeker, Farscape, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, New Legends of Monkey.
Currently soul-deep in a revisit of Once Upon A Time's final reboot-flavoured season.

What would you like so see/do in this community?
Seconding the above commenter's suggestion for spreads -- there can never be too many of those, and the nature of the cartomancy community makes it hard to find fannish or creativity-specific ones.

Would also love to see something like the fortune_favors challenge, which is what got me into tarot as a fannish tool in the first place... though I concede, that might involve rather more organising than the mods are up for. ;)

What is your experience with cartomancy? I use them as prompts for fic, and I appreciate them as works of art.


Do you own any decks? Any fannish decks? I don't but I'd like to! I saw an Edgar Allan Poe one in a shop which fascinated me.


What are your current/all time fandoms? My main fandom is Sherlock Holmes (original stories and many of the later iterations). Other fandoms include Jeeves & Wooster (mostly book 'verse) and BTS (the kpop band). I like detectives and detective stories, especially Golden Age of Crime. I also craft: collage journalling, jigsaw puzzles, cross-stitch, miniature houses/rooms.


What would you like so see/do in this community? Show off the art! That's the most important part to me. Let's look at the pretty cards.

Like someone above I also participated in fortune_favors as well as other tarot prompt fests.

I also wouldn't mind learning what resources (books, websites, etc) people use to interpret their prompts (or spreads for personal use). I always go to Queering the Tarot by Cassandra Snow to interpret mine but I am certain there are other (reliable, useful, etc) sources out there. But there's a lot of muck too, so I want to avoid that.

What is your experience with cartomancy? I got my first deck roughly 15 years ago. Traditional Rider-Waite style decks and I don't get along at all. I've got a nice collection of oracle and lenormand decks with a few non-traditional tarot-style decks.


Do you own any decks? Any fannish decks? I have seven decks I use regularly. Two fannish traditional style tarot decks I bought just for the art.


What are your current/all time fandoms? Buffy was my first online fandom and will always be near and dear to my heart. Currently I'm deep in the Steve/ Eddie end of Stranger Things despite being unable to watch the show.


What would you like so see/do in this community? I'm not sure. Cartomancy and fandom are two big hobbies of mine and I'm generally interested in seeing them interact.

What are your current/all time fandoms? I've been in many starting with Star Trek/Star Wars/Elfquest back in the 80s. My biggest online ones are/were Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel, Fullmetal Alchemist (and several other anime) and most currently the two big ones are Prodigal Son and The Owl House


What would you like so see/do in this community? Honestly I'm not sure but I'm pretty open
